Oaktrow
Farm is home to horses, sheep, cows and free range chickens
Oaktrow
farmhouse dates back to 15th century with parts of the farm itself
mentioned in the Domesday Book. The 38 acre farm has been recently
restored with traditional outbuildings
of stone and cob, a stable block and a former linhay which has
been extensively refurbished to include a thatched roof.
An excellent location with comfortable accommodation for a relaxing
break on Exmoor.
If you enjoy walking we are close to the Coleridge Way and have
nearly 600 miles of footpaths and bridleways for you to explore.
Beautiful scenery, magnificent views and picturesque villages
can all be found not too far from here. Remember to bring your
walking boots and of course your camera!
The
popular village of Dunster with its Castle, Yarn Market and cobbled
pavements is about
4 miles from Oaktrow Farm.
The seaside town of Minehead is 6 miles from here where you can
enjoy the 20 mile trip on West Somerset's Steam Railway along
the coast and up to Bishops Lydeard. Take one of the open top
buses run from Minehead along the coast to Lynton and Lynmouth
or the moorland route through Exford and Porlock giving you fantastic
scenery and no need to drive. |
